I've seen it in stores and, while I'm sure it's got to be absolutely gorgeous, it just doesn't look very interesting.

My TV does support 1080p and HDMI and I can play Blu Ray, but I dunno. That documentary.

I have like 3 games that will play in 1080p, though. And on one of them I can click a film that plays this insanely high definition movie they made that is friggin' detailed and realistic looking that you'd think your TV is an open window or something.

Sure, different folks like different things, that is cool. But yeah, if you get a chance, rent it or something. It is beautifully done.

THAT'S THE THING!! I fucking wish I could rent Blu Rays, but I have never seen a video store in my life that had Blu Rays or HD-DVD for rent.

The big video rental shop that I usually rent from is 95% DVDs and 5% video casettes. I guess it'll probably take another 3-5 years before Blu Rays or HD-DVD are up for rental in shops.

My girlfriend was telling me about this undersea/ocean documentary that's really really good and they also have that available on Blu Ray (the rental shop near my house has it for rent on DVD).

But I generally don't find these kinds of documentaries interesting. I'd love to buy a movie on Blu Ray just because it looks so awesome, but I have no idea what I'd get. One of the movies I'd like to get on Blu Ray is currently only available on DVD and video casette.

Pretty much all the "Blu Rays" I want are actually PS3 games. (I'll be ordered 2-3 more this month)

What Blu Ray movies do you want? There is a store near where I work that has a pretty large collection of Blu Ray and HD-DVDs for sale, but I've never really looked through it too much. There were a lot of good movies, but mostly ones that I can't see myself watching over and over and over again. And I only buy movies when I think they have a lot of replay value.

Dude, I am not trying to BS you or anything, but there are simply TOO many movies I want on BD right now, and I can't even list them all here... Yeah, there are stores here in HK with a better than decent collection of BDs and region 1 dvds too. No joke, I kind of try not visiting those areas sometimes, since I know I am likely going to spend money each time I am there.

I used to have a bad habit of buying DVDs all the time and I had an insanely huge DVD collection, then I realized that most of them I only watched once or twice and then never watched again, so I sold most of them (I kept the ones I really liked or intended on watching more in the future) and decided to only buy films I would watch at least several times.

I would like at least one Blu Ray film, just because it completely annihilates all of my DVDs (which completely annihilate anyone's video cassettes).
