I bought David Attenboroughs "The Life of Mammals" boxset last week, top notch stuff and in HD it just looks astounding.

Yes I DVR'd that entire series, absolutely breathtaking, amazing, inspiring. One of the best things I've ever seen. I may buy the HD-DVD set as well when I want to free up space on my DVR.

I implore all of you who have an HD-TV to check that out.

I did the same, but the HD shows take up tons of memory...totally worth it though.

none of this doctor who shite, planet earth is a proper program. Probably the best thing the BBC has done for a while. Never seen it in HD but I absolutely loved the series!!!

Definitely try to see it in HD... honestly that series and the Sunrise Earth series is reason alone to buy an HDtv.

I've got them all on my DVR, too. Great series. I enjoy most everything on the Discovery HD.

Yep, Planet Earth is one of those rare shows that actually make me proud to say I work for the BBC.

i've heard a lot of good things about it, but i'm not completely sure what it's entirely about. Is it just like really pretty scenes of Earth and different places arounf the world, or what?

Yes and no. There is lots of great commentary that supports all the awesome video footage, so you learn more about what you're seeing.

The episode on caves was my absolute favorite.
