This move should rock. But the presence of 3 villians worries me. Plus they're bringing in Gwen Stacy. So I hope the movie isn't too busy for its own good.

I think they can manage to pull it off:

I'm guessing that the Green Goblin II story line will end pretty early into the movie based on the first 5 minute trailer that was on after Heroes a few weeks ago.

Sandman can be resolved pretty quickly and can be used just to show the effects of the suit on Peter.

He then, goes to the church tower to get rid of the suit, like the comics, and the second half of the movie is dedicated to venom.

I could be totally wrong. Venom could just be in there as some kind of cliffhanger. We'll see.

Gwen Stacy would just be there as a new love interest assumming Kirsten Dunst leaves and they keep making movies.

This looks great. I suspect there'll be at least one plot thread in this film that won't be resolved until later films.
I hadn't realised Gwen Stacy was going to be in it. Who's playing her?

I was afraid they would just make it about the black suit and not put Venom in, but that looks promising.

To be honest this looks like it's going to be another X3... great effects, but too damned much crammed into a short timeslot to be really satisfying.
