Hey, cheers for all of your mad scientist experimentation with the pod. It has been of great help to many.

Hey Ricky I just stumbled across a pretty kickass sounding combo of amps and what not. Dual Amps, Uber+Brit P75Brt. Use the Uber cab with the 57 on axis with the Brit, and the XXL30 with 121Rbn on the Uber. Boost it with a Q filter, and crank the master volume on each to around 75. Naturally the Brit is going to need a lot more gain on it than the Uber.
I think it's my favorite amp combo yet.

I could do that, the inner cheapskate in me says it may be a wise option.

Yeah, I'm modifying one of my guitars right now, and it had pickup-ring-mounted pickups. I got rid of the pickup rings and filled the screw holes, so now I'm direct mounting and need to grab some foam to put under 'em for good measure.

That's awesome haha it is a really good color. I gotta stop by the auto store to get some under-pickup foam as it would seem, so while I'm there I should check for that clear coat!

No problem! As a side note, did you use that particular kind because it would pair well with the engine enamel you used? Just wondering because I used a regular gloss enamel from Rustoleum and wasn't sure if the type of clear coat mattered a whole lot. Plus thanks to the info you provided in the build thread I've got a nice guide to follow for the sanding and polishing of the clear coat.

Hey Ricky, just out of curiosity what kind of clear coat did you use in your latest build? Turned out great.

Hey man, I don't know if you've tried the combo but give the Tread +57 on axis and PHD +57off axis a try. Put a Parametric EQ in front of the Tread to fix the phase issues. It sounds killer!
