I'll probably arch it as well, this sounds like a project for next holidays.. (we get holidays.. 2 weeks off from school every term (ten weeks))
School starts tomorrow though .. so .. 10 more weeks away til i get start my RGA7 project..

I love mods, its like getting a custom guitar, without having to pay custom prices

I'll try and get a fairly thick slice of maple for the cap.

yeah i shaved a little bit off mine and rounded the contours of the lower cutaway in my 7421. I didn't take enough out to make a difference though .. maybe next time.

I've got a 7321 coming in real soon, its got blackouts in it. Phase 1 though.. I really like the bulky and badass look of EMG's. I might get an Australia Ash FIREMAN body made for it, with a redgum top.. so the body will be made out of Australian woods
then i'll get some bloodwood dowels to replace the dot inlays. It's gno be soo bad ass.

Then with the left over basswood body, might get someone to put a flamed maple cap on it, as people say basswood + maple cap sounds really good. I'll get a maple boarded neck made for it.

But the latter project won't be in the near future unfortunately. Maybe a year or so away.

Yeah it feels really smooth and satin-y, I dislike gloss.

if you're going to get another body made and a new fretboard .. you're like more than 1/2 way there to a new guitar. Might as well get anothe and add to the collection

Right now I've still got my modded 7321, I just scored a 7421XL that is getting ready to be modded, and I just traded my SC608 for an RG770DX reissue! Definitely changing my game up a little bit!
