It was actually SUPER easy

I removed the hardware, pickups and neck and used a power sander to take off the gloss, under the gloss is a really nice coat of satin/flat black that looked good but I was using to gritty of sand paper to keep it so under that layer is like a clear coat that shows the wood kinda orangish like in my photos so i sanded it really fine on that coat and left it since to me it looked nice a few spots i took it too low and it hit wood but not very much maybe like the tip of a pick size but yeah its pretty easy it took me about 4 hours to do both sides I started with just wet sanding and movd to the power sander ahah, with the neck i just left it alone i like how the black on the headstock flows with the gloss black i left on the sides and on the back . Since I sanded it its been a bit less bassy but sounds better so yeah I hope this helps!
**once you sand down be ready to re adjust action, although its only a few mm its a decent difference !
