I have owned just about every dimarzio humbucker and strat pickup in the line, a few BKP's, and a few SD's and EMG's.

Way too much money spent, and more time wth soldering iron in hand than I would recommend... But I know for certain what I do and dont like in a pickup. And I get to be helpful so people dont have to be me and spend thousands on pickups.

The cruiser is the closest you will find. Has that smooth sustaining thing going for it but retains the attack of a single coil. It is actually my neck pickup in the RG360EX.

The tone zone is a very unique pickup. thump like I have never heard from another pickup. Very throaty almost cocked wah overtones... Its a love it or leave it pickup. I have one in my basswod 1990 RG360EX and I use it for my pop-punk tunes every now and then. ....Haters gonna hate.

They are a bit pricey. I just like the cover options and being part of the bandwagonkp owners circle.
If you ever mod another strat but for HH, try the Air Norton/Air Classic combo. AC has the most smooth sustain ever for leads, and the Air Norton can get pretty angry with brutal tones. but is super versatile

Clarity is well enough with high gain too.

Yep, he did! the DMT(dean) mountain of tone pickup is much like the megadrive, actually.
You can NEVER go wrong with the super 3, fwiw

It's why I near exclusively use the nailbomb from bkp. It behaves like a super 3 but with an alnico mag for more grind.

I went all out, new frets, OFR, Brass block, Dimarzio 500k pot, schaller tuners.

I kick myself for selling it. The megadrive is great, really. Reminds me of the super 3 but a bit more raw.

No, it's actually a 2204S. Only 500 made in 1986. Basically a pcb style 2204 in a short box with the old JMP aesthetics...she rips! But so do those old Lead Mosfet 100's you're thinking about.
