Hey, sorry man. I've been super busy with work, mixing, trying out guitarists and writing haha
    It's good hearing from you!

Anyway, here's the link to our new FB page: https://www.facebook.com/WarforgedBand
We won't be doing a full length for quite some time, as we would rather put out a bunch of demo versions of what will eventually be the CD...at least for the time being. We've been in constant writing mode, and I'm really stoked with the new material we've been churning out.
After I finish up these three songs we just recorded we're going to jump right back into recording even newer songs
    So, be prepared haha

Aw, I see, can't wait to hear some more of your ...., cus it's freaking awesome!
I've been doing much of the same, actually, I'm trying to make an album out of everything that floats in my mind, and I gotta say, it does sound really djenty and japanese, haha
I don't get why, but I find myself obsessed with melodic japanese music or culture in general, it's kinda weird. I mean, I'm Norwegian, shouldn't I be making the grimmest black metal? haha
Not sure if you noticed, but I used to be Chris-T before changing it, not sure if you remember, but that's maybe why I'm such a stranger, we actually have been talking a miniscule bit in the past, but that's kind of a while ago now.
Listened to what you put up recently, sounds ballsy!!!!

    Hi man

I listened to a few of your tracks in your sites, Im in Love with summer fun (srsly, is one of my favourite songs created by a member of SS)
it's a shame that you don't have many finished songs

anyways, I wanted to ask you 2 things:

first, how do you get so much definition in the Riffs in Summer Fun? the Tone is amazing, I have a POD HD and Im struggling to create a tone like that one (I want to cover Breeze, and one of my songs use HUUUGE Chords)
do you quad track or something? I saw you have a POD X3 so any little tip you could give me would be greatly apreciated, I tried everything, the Mesa Model (big Mistake) ENGL (a bit better) and this weekend Im going to give a try to the rest of the High-Gain amps.

and, where are you going to upload more stuff? you had a bit of everything in Soundcloud, Soundclick and Bandcamp

anyways, thanks for taking your time to read, take care

Just try some compression, ditch the SD2 kick and trigger it with something else (im sure you can find music with just the kick being played - one i can think of is parkway drive's newer album, on one of the songs just the kick is being played in the beginning and its a decent one) and mess with the eq so everything stands out more. I have my snare's eq set to lots of lows for the punch and a little highs for clarity.

Let me know if you want any more info, be on the lookout for an awesome EP this summer

Thanks a lot man! I use superior but i trigger the kick with another sample I made (basically took the kick from the band when they had a single kick with nothing else) using drumtrigg (super simple and free!), everything else is superior.

I honestly dont know much about compression or anything, ive learned everything I know from trial and error and just messing around with VSTs, which is probably why it has taken me so long to get a decent mix. I am trying to release an EP for my solo project this summer so ive been getting serious about how my mix should sound instead of just messing with stuff.

For the snare, i use a huge amount of compression and some reverb. It took me awhile to get it to sound right, but ive just been making slight changes for a couple years and im finally at the point where i'm happy with the sound of it in the mix. I use EQ on pretty much EVERY track including the master track (not supposed to lol) and I just go by what sounds right.
