As far as I remember, that was not necessary, as I think there was already a ground wire installed from the bridge. Best way to tell would be to look obviously.

Yo, you probably don't remember when I got the Intrepid you wanted to hear a track and I remembered you saying that when I was finally uploading a track I used the 8 string for, so thought I'd let you know if you want to check it out-
