Hello all
Hello there,

Just a quick line to introduce myself.
I've been playing for a little over 4 years and have just recently purchased my first 7 string - Dean Razorback 7.

I'm a fan of thrash and death metal and a HUGE fan of Morbid Angel and Trey Azagthoth's insane work on guitar and all.

My other guitars include an Ibanez DTX120 Destroyer with an SD Invader in the bridge and SD Distortion in the neck, a Dean V Acoustic and a no-brand Stratocaster copy.

Other than that, I live in Montreal, QC, haven't had much luck with bands and I work as a computer engineer for Gameloft. That's about it!

Looking forward to my time on this forum!

Only on the finish. Some parts on the finish seem to be pretty much sub-par for a guitar this price. Other than imperfections in the finish at close inspection, the guitar is top notch.

Action and setup out of the factory did suck though, tremolo wasn't parallel to the body, action was set pretty high, intonation was a bit off but hey, nothing you can't fix on your own. Set it up myself two weeks after it got to me 'cause the damned place I bought it from "assured" me "No, it's absolutely normal that the bridge sits this way, the action is normally high on guitars 'cause too low causes them to be unplayable" kinda of bull crap.

So I fixed it up the way I had my Ibanez set up and plays like mad now, it has absolutely flawless fret work (was a big surprise to me! hehe)

Oh, and since we're talking about it, are EMGs supposed to be dead quiet ? Mine do make a good amount of noise and hum (I always play next to my computer) and that alone made me buy a noise gate to hush it up when not playing.
