New from the Philippines!
Hi everyone, my name is Daniel and I've been playing guitar on and off for about 9 years now. I am 24 years old and have just got my degree in medicine, so I'm planning on putting a bit more time playing the guitar before I start to study for the board exams.

My favorite guitar players are Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Gibbons, John Frusciante and John Mayer. As you guys can probably tell, I'm not one to stick to one particular genre; I've bounced between the heaviest, most atonal extreme metal, to the mellowest, most sickeningly saccharine pop. My iPod contains music from Meshuggah and Michael Jackson, which confuses the hell out of my bandmates some times

I've been trying to shred for some time now, using various DVDs, but I'm not quite there yet Hopefully, this place will provide me with some valuable advice. Thank you all for having me!
