Quick stripe
I am interested in painting a simple stripe on a guitar and I'm wondering if I can go over the existing finish? And what I would have to do to finish it off... Clear coat the entire face again?
Edit: This guitar is like brand new, and not just some cheap strat copy so I don't want to ruin it! |

I guess it really depends on what you want the outcome to look like.
If you post some pics of the guitar and an example of the look you're going for I, and others, can help you out. Need help with setting up a trem? Need info on your Ibby? Live in Milwaukee? Please feel free to message me. New Rules. Read Them. |

Pin stripe tape. Cheap, easy, and you can remove it if you don't like it.

In that case, a refinish is a better solution. Before jumping the gun, try and find some decals that look like that. It'd be far less costly and time consuming, not to mention reversible.
