Alsa Corp: Crazer...Any Good?
Hey guys!
I was originally thinking about a red/white/blue swirl for my rhoads but I found this product called Crazer from alsa corp. I really like the mystic violet color but was wondering if it gets good results and if its easy/easier to apply. I would do the front and back and leave the sides the base coat. Opinions? |

I've used Alsa Paints before. Great products, but not easy to apply, sorry. More to it then "point and shoot" with this stuff.

Looks great on motorcycles. I'd imagine it would work well for guitar too. If you go for it, post some pics.

I've used 2k marbilizer several times and experimented with different brands.
I didn't like the DNA/Alsa stuff. It has too much shit in it (full of pearl and micro flake) - it was also too thick and it cured way too quick to be able to manipulate how I like. I sold my last tin of DNA/ALSA (same stuff) for bugger all since I didn't like it. The PPG and HOK ones are the best. Basically the 2k marbilizer is used over a base coat, then usually under a candy coat before clearing. You spray it over a base coat and while it's still wet you manipulate it with something, be it glad wrap bunched up, or a shopping bag or a sea sponge. Whatever texture you desire to get the effect you're after. You could finger paint in it if you wanted. You can get different colored Marbilizers so it open up for experimentation over different base colors etc. Just think of Marbilizer as another base coat layer. The guitar still has to be primed, base coated before marbilizer and it has to be clear coated over the candy if you use candy, or over the last layers of marbilizer |
