My First Guitar Project

So I started a guitar project about 2 weeks ago, and I just wanted to make a thread of my progress. The guitar is an Ibanez S470, all I have is the body. I bought it from Ebay for $22 dollars plus 19 for shipping.

So far I have only sanded the whole body, and just got my veneer in the mail today, so applying the veneer is my next step.

Im open to answer questions or any advise

Here is a picture of the veneer, Its Walnut.
I like how the bottom looks like a cat or something

It TOTALLY does look like a cat. You realize that you have to include that in the design. Put it at the bottom of the body below the bridge no matter what it takes!

Edit: Maybe more of a dog though...

I am! or at least do my best, to fit it, the Floyd Rose cavity gets in the way of it a tiny bit, but I will still incorporate it in there somehow

Yes it is, but Honestly the picture really does not give it justice, Its more of a chocolate color in person and it just looks better. and I love that "Catdogbearpig" ha ha, I may just name the guitar that lmao

Does anyone see the head of an ant above the bulldog/chinese demon? Lol that walnut is crazy! The catdogbearpig at the bottom is so distinct.
