'59 Les Paul Scratch Build
hey guys i'm building a Les Paul with my dad as a project.
it wont be like any Les Paul though. it's going to have a 26" scale AND 24 Frets. all gold hardware will came to around $280 and around $350 for the pickups (BKP). $110 for all the wood. we're using Kayan Mahogany for the body Tiger Curly Maple top ebony for the Fretboard headsotck is: maple, mahogany, curly maple, mahogany, maple neck material is regular White Maple, 1/4" strip of curly maple, and kayan mahogany (5 piece). the body is going to be dyed to a charcoal burst with ebony dyed back and neck and headstock will be oiled and poly'ed ***photos of build (first 118 at the moment):*** http://s1227.photobucket.com/albums/ee426/pointblank9957/ |

But anyways, I do like the swirly grain of the body wood a lot. Also the laminated neck and metal pickup rings. So far it looks way cooler than most standard LPs. |
