Custom inlay idea for RAN Crusher. Opinions!
Last day i got an idea for a custom inlay for my RAN that i am ordering.
A MOP inlay from 9th to 15th or 16th fret with this symbol: ![]() Yes im a Warhammer nerd ![]() So what do you think, would it look cool or look really tacky? The guitar itself is a walnut bodied Crusher with a macassar ebony fretboard. |

I have friends that will literally orgasm at this even though they don't play guitar.
![]() I'd say go for it, it's a cool logo. |

I think it would look cool, but it's your guitar. Depends on how much the symbol means to you.

Also having an idea to just have it as a 12th fret inlay to keep the beautiful macassar ebony fretboard clean... hmm decisions...

Got the inlay cost back from Dariusz. 110 euros (145$) and 2 weeks extra build time for it if it's 9th to 15th in size.

^ that would look good in a wood inlay too & that price seems quite fair. Seems 10th - 14th would also work well & be a bit smaller but balanced.

The only thing i'm worried about is how the symbol would scale, i don't really want it to look stretched out, but i think 9th to 15th should balance out pretty good.
10th to 14th seems almost too small i think :P |

Absolutely love it
I would keep the body of the design centred in the 12th fret and go from there IMHO , in saying that anywhere on the fretboard would look damn cool. I have my own CNC machine to do this sort of work as I need it for my business as I am a custom guitar maker based here in the UK and have alot of experience as regarding this type of work and I would always position that in the 12th fret as it will to me look right, but again your call

One of the eagles is missing an eye. Just so you know. One side has the spiky foot and no eye, the other has the non spiky foot and an open eye.

Yeah I noticed the spiky foot too. Is it supposed to be that way? Or is this some kinda crazy heresy/Chaos Imperial Eagle?

Alright so i decided to go for this inlay afterall.
13centimeter wide with the body of the eagle centered at the 12th fret. I think it Will look really cool! Looking forward to this build a lot now. In early october, expect a NGD with the warhammer crusher, the emperors own guitar lol! |

This logo would look great, however I would put it horizontal on the fretboard (side to side) taking up the 11th, 12th and 13th frets.
I just like things uniform, but it would look badass both ways

I was thinking of having this done on my build too
but I got quoted for a much higher price from the luthier doing setup/inlay/frets, so I went with something else. That will look badass.
