The WŸTCH II: finally finished
![]() IMG_2156 by paulpolsky, on Flickr hand carved mahogany with tung oil and black dye finish, birds eye maple knobs and pickup rings, crocodile skin pickguard, floyd rose tremolo and bare knuckle warpigs, 24 fret ebony fretboard. I also made a studded crocodile strap for it, but it's not done yet! Thanks for the help and answering all my stupid questions, you dudes! |

![]() Either that, or the weapon from some Power Rangers Baddie....can't decide. Like the paint job, though. cool. it seems the internet is busted, we are about 20 posts deep in an In Flames thread and there has yet to be a "everything after Clayman sucks" post. |

there aint even a drop of paint on it! it's just a little bit of black die on the high points and tung oil. I was really surprised at how red it got. It is wet in the picture, it's a much more subtle earthy brown red now.

It looks so hairy! Its more like "Orc" than "Witch" with the croc pickguard and the hairy look
![]() I really like the design of the body. I would also really like to see you play that thing, or at least "hold" it on some photo and hear some samples! The one thing I have to criticize is that your headstock doesnt really match the rest of the guitar and the writing's screamin: "permanent marker" Maybe you are willing to invest another 20$ in a nice sticker with a printed logo and another rag of crocodile to cover the headstock! Croc On! ![]()

Just wondering, how did you fit the knobs onto the pots?

It's just drilled to size and a little rubber ring is glued in there so it just slides on and doesn't move at all. I was going to put a tiny screw in each that could be tightened, but it's holding fine as it is.

I didn't think to cover the whole headstock in crocodile, that would look totally badass, and I just might go with that. Another idea I had for fixing the headstock is to chisel out the logo and inlay some more mahogany there, and leave it slightly raised so I could carve the edges flush and then texture and finish it to match the body |

Those are bareknuckle Warpigs! but they sound awesome. It's my first time using bare knuckles, and I gotta say, it's worth the money. It's absolutely monstrous. Anything you play out of this, combined with the incredible dark boost you get from the mahogany sounds like Acid Witch and Electric Wizard. Pop that thing into an alter ego Damnation or a bm1 and you can raise the dead! It also sounds killer for the blues, as long as you like very sabbathy blues |

It's a mix between ugly and really awesome.
I could see a bad like Gwar playing it. Certainly different! Congrats.
