NWD (warmoth) With advice and opinions needed!

I gambled big time on this one. I had only seen so few warmoth seven strings. But I had some faith in the company with the reviews of their sixers and what not. And I really wanted these specs I couldn't find anywhere else.
Body: Alder
Top: Bubinga
Neck: Birdseye maple
Fretboard: Figured Zircote
Frets: Stainless steel
Scale: 25" (and yes, I am ok with this)
Nut: Graphtech Tusq XL

Not shown: Graptech string saver saddles
Schaller locking tuners
Dimarzio D-sonic 7
Dimarzio Blaze 7
Bubigna volume/tone knobs

So my dilemma is the actual bridge is a tad bit too big. Should I save some trouble and just buy another one that will fit or attempt to drill and use the bridge I have now?

And the question of awesomeness: What should I design My head stock to be like? I left it as a block so I could make ridiculous. My favorite headstocks are like parkers or blackmachines, but Im down with suggestions, even the ibanez like head stock would be fine.

Enough teasing on with the photos!

Evil fretboard eye watches you drooling.

And yes. Now i get it when people say pictures don't do this justice. I would have to take a picture of every fret to show how stupid (in a good way) this thing looks.

that is going to turn out gorgeous. what are you planning on doing for the finish?

i would buy a new bridge to match if i were you, unless you're really sure that you can do it right. i believe doing something like that will void warmoth's warranty on the body.

+1 to the buy a bridge that will fit idea. I tried to "make it work" with a cheaper trem on a project guitar a while back, and still regret it.

Most likely a tung oil finish unless someone can recommend better. Yeah I am looking at bridges now. Is there anyway to buy a bridge without the saddles? I have the graphtech string saver saddles, and just want the other part, having a hard time finding let a lone a bridge that will fit.

HEY.

JERK.

That fretboard is NSFW. Should've been in the title.

Yeah. I often get lost inside the fretboard. Its like a fractal!
Anyways... I ordered a bridge from warmoth, because I couldn't find any other that matched the dimensions. Better safe than sorry.
Now what should I do with that head stock!

what were your plans for the headstock? i see you mentioned a parker/blackmachine style. how careful would you really need to be if you did the cutting on that? would you have trouble with the stability of the HS taking that much wood off?

A Parker-ish headstock would be sweet and go well with the rest of the guitar, I think.

well if can't do it myself. Which I do have some faith in myself, I would leave it up to a professional. I have a dremel and sander. Obviously i would practice a lot before i attempted and If i didnt feel comfortable I wouldn't do it. But first I need to design the most practical and awesome design.

Is that a non-angled headstock? If so remember to leave enough room for the string retainer bar. As far as headstock shapes go though my vote goes to the Parker style as well. I prefer that one to the Blackmachine one but if you could do your own combination of the two that would be awesome too.

Man, if I lived in the US I would buy so much shit from Warmoth. I'm getting an American Special Stratocaster after January's paycheck comes in. I kinda want to get a sweet Jazzmaster body for it, routed either SSS or HSS.

In due time my friend. My dad has all the electronics and He lives in Maryland. So ill visit him soon and we will put everything together and tung oil it up when i visit him. As far as the neck goes. its a lot thinner than i thought it would be (which is good) As well as the frets were smaller than i thought they would be, but i have to say, I think I like the smaller frets as I have bigger fingers than normal. I'd say mid January it will be done. Mid to late January. The rest of the pieces (Bridge, straps/strap locks, ferrules, screws) is coming on the 9th which is ridiculous as I ordered them on the 28th and warmoth said It should take 2-3 business days. But its not warmoths fault. Its UPS. It originally said it would take 5 then I check back today when yesterday said 4, it says 5, but that still doesn't make sense because 5 business days is January 6th. So mildly pissed about that, but w/e.
