My custom build thread

well basically in the next week or two im going to be ordering a guitar from Siggery Guitars, i thought i'd do a thread on the build, with progress pics and what not,

So first of all what specs am i choosing,

7 string
Heresy body shape style (have to check siggery website)
spalted maple top/mahogany body
Mahogany neck/birdseye maple fingerboard
bernie rico style headstock
siggery pickups (supposed to be really nice, if they aren't then i'll put some bkps or crunch/liquifire combo)
sperzel tuners
hipshot bride
27" scale
Killswtich
2 volume pots and 1 tone pot
3 way pickup selector

i think thats everything, if not i shall update as i go along,

if anyone has any questions or suggestions then please feel free to, i haven't placed the order yet as im still unsure about a few things (whether to mahogany or alder, hipshot or tom,)

BOLT-ON! Bolt-on's only have a bad rap because Fender during the CBS era apparently hired drunk apes to do the neck pockets. They will sustain just as well if made properly. You can also get a bunch of extra goodies from Martian with the saved money. I also find the neck access on most AANJ guitars to be fine.

So ive just placed my deposit today and here are the full specs for the guitar

Heresy body shape style
spalted maple top/mahogany body (36mm)
5 piece Bolt on Mahogany neck/birdseye maple fingerboard
bernie rico style headstock
siggery pickups (they have been known to sound similar to lundgrens and bkp aftermaths so i am sure they will be amazing)
sperzel tuners
hipshot bridge
27" scale
Killswitch
2 volume pots and 1 tone pot
3 way pickup selector (moved to where the neck pickup volume pot is for easier access)

Marty is going to be sending me pictures throughout the build and i shall be uploading them straight here for everyone to see!!

That's awesome. Any plans to carve the top a bit, besides the arm contour?

I'm an absolute sucker for spalted tops, and this is one of the crazier ones I've seen. Excited to see the finished product.
