Pics of my BRJ's in progress

hey all,
both these guitars are a long time coming but they're almost here,
I thought I'd share a few progress pics Bernie has sent me over the last few weeks to show how these are turning out.
Most of the pics were taken on Bern's iphone because his nikon that he uses for his high-quality shots is down at the moment. Will post further updates as they come.

Common specs:
Maple neckthru (Rico shred neck profile)
Mahogany wings
25.5" Scale
24 Stainless steel 6100 frets
Original Floyd Rose Tremolo
Grover Tuners
Bareknuckle Ceramic Warpig pickups
3-way selector with centre position coil splits, 500k volume, 2-way toggle killswitch.
Recessed electronics
Tremol-no
Dunlop Flushmount Straploks
Custom tremolo cavity plates
Abalone Logo
Black hardware
Gloss finish
Satin finish on back of neck

Jekyll #1:
Spalted maple top & matching headstock
Ebony Fretboard
Rico Diamond M.O.P. inlays
camo pickup covers

Jekyll #2:
Flamed maple top & matching headstock
Charcoal stain finish on top & headstock
Charcoal stain masked at top's edge
Birdseye maple fretboard
Offset M.O.P. dot inlays
burnt chrome pickup covers

edit: more pics 20/11

Not a fan of spalts, but the grey Jekyll looks amazing! That's very close to what I'd order from BRJ. Are they going to have pickup rings?

Can a mod please merge them for me?

Both guitars have direct-mount pickups

Because my brother capped our internet (probably on pr0n downloads), the connection timed out when i was submitting the thread and somehow ended up with 2 threads, hopefully one of the mods can merge them for me
cheers!

Wow, those are awesome! That's some pretty nice spalt on there.
How the heck did you get him to give you progress pics, though? Is this the first progress you've seen, or has he given you others?

I got one off nick from the axepalace (the one of the spalted one with tape on the fretboard), the rest bernie emailed me except for the one where he is holding the guitar, that was just a strike of luck as someone visited his shop and took a pic of it.

He's really flat out at the moment but I've been waiting longer than just about anyone for that spalted one because we've had a few setbacks along the way. All I had to do was ask & he snapped a few pics for me when he got a chance to.
I email or call him every once in a while to catch up on things and check everything is all good. Such a great dude, can't recommend him enough.
When these two arrive im considering ordering a 3rd one.

Cool, thanks. I put in an order through Nick last Jan or Feb or so, and I got an email from Bernie that it's just about out of woodshop now, but I have no idea what the ETA is based on that. I'll try calling him to see. Any idea what your next order will be?

The deposit for my spalted one was made in November last year and was paid off by the end of that month. These two were also ordered through nick.
He's been really stacked up because he does everything himself but he is starting to get his lead times under control again and you will get your guitar soon I'd imagine.

I'm thinking for my next one, a 26.5" Jekyll, mahogany neckthrough and wings with a flamed koa top, or some other exotic wood like burled maple or figured walnut or redwood like on his valiants. It will have a clear oil or satin finish & hannes bridge and probably a single in the neck, I'm still playing around with ideas but won't be ordering for a while yet.

I suggest just call him and leave a voicemail with your contact details and he'll get back to you

Sweet!!! We don't see many 6 sting Ricos round these parts.
love both finishes.
I also like the jekyll body much more as a 6 than I do a 7 for some reason.
what are you getting for fret board radius on these 2?
