![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PA's? Can anyone point me in the right direction...I'm thinking of getting a small PA, enough to sing through during our practises..any suggestions? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've seen a few cheap things on the musicians friend site. They're like a good sized speaker cab with 1 or 2 inputs on the top and a couple of EQ controls. Not too bad, especially for the prices they go for, much less than a Passport. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks guys, I guess then I shouldn't worry about a mixing board, and just get something to handle the vocals then...say a couple hundred watts? What about them powered mixers, are they any good? I'm just wondering if we mic our gear and the vocals, then we can get a suitable mix even during practise... |

I was talking to a friend, and he suggested this. Each of us get our own monitor. The monitors can be used during practise, as the PA, and then as monitors if and when we gig live. Then we can chip in for a power amp, and a relatively cheap mixer. Again when a gig presents itself, we can use our little system for our monitors and use the establishments PA. I think I'm going to inquire about renting, for now though, just to see how it works out. Then if all is good, with the mix and the vocals, I'll start worrying about purchasing then...hey 50.00 bucks compared to 1000.00... | |
