Play other band's songs without vocals.

I was thinking about this for a while. The main reasen is that I would like to play Morbid Angel songs on concert mainly, and most of the people hate growling vocals, and maybe more people would listen to it without that, and I would like it much more too. + as I read before I would like to play instrumental music, so really no need for a singer.

What do you think, It would be boring or it's a good idea?

I wouldn't recommend it personally. Writing/recording instrumental music requires a bit more thought than just leaving the vocals off a pre-existing song. Plus, Morbid Angel's songs are still pretty intense, even without the vocals, so I don't think it would convert many people.

Yeah, while some vocal songs hold together well as instrumentals, the vast majority don't - the focus is on the lurics and not the melody line, so the melodies tend to be a bit simpler.

You COULD try doing Morbid Angel covers with clean vocals, though.
