'The Curse of Western Culture'... rofl. That's a hilarious name. 'Alliance of Defiance'... that sounds like it's from that Otep single. Cool name for a band though.

EDIT: Dude, I went to check out your MySpace page, and Gary Numan was linked. I checked out a song from his new album, it fucking rocks. I never even bothered to check this guy out. All I know of him is his song Cars. If his modern stuff is anywhere near as amazing as his new album, holy shit I have a lot to explore. Anyways, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Feel free to delete this if it's out of line.

The Curse of Western Culture I have not heard. I think maybe a bit punk? I'm sure they have a myspace page but I'm to lazy to look it up.
Alliance of Defiance is pretty cool. They're metal, but not "hardcore". Good guys.

No worries. Charlie is a huge Gary Numan fan. I always give her shit about him. Anytime Gary Numan comes one(which is alot with her) I always say, "Man, this sounds a lot like that guy who did some guest vocals on that really cool Fear Factory song!"

I need to download this guys discography, everything I've heard so far on his MySpace page is amazing. Man, am I a newwave/industrial fan and I don't even know it? KMFDM is one of my fav bands of all-time but that's about the extent of it.

EDIT: I may have to buy your 2004 album. Pretty cool stuff.

Yeah, it was pretty cool that I got into Charlie Drown since KMFDM is one of my favorites too. Most of them always try to make it to our shows in Seattle. Drinking with their lastest drummer, Andy, is pretty damn fun. Sascha's kind of a grumpy old man, but cool as hell.

KMFDM is based in America now? I thought they hung out in Germany or whatever. -Shrug- I was just listening to "Xtort" earlier today, one of my fav KMFDM albums. I dig their new album Hau Ruck too.

KMFDM is based out of Seattle now.
And no, I'm not on PMG. I will be on the new one we're working on now, though. I took over for Shannon, who took over for a guy named Jason Kull(who was on that cd). He hooked me up. It's kind of a funny story. I had no clue that Shannon was playing for them and I had been listening to Charlie Drown for a while. I've known Shannon since about 1998 or so and he called me up and asked if I wanted the gig. I was looking to get out of Montana and said hell yes!
On an interesting side note, a good portion of PMG was Jules of KMFDM. And on the new one, I'm ready to battle it out with Sascha since he's so damn set on using Amp Farm for the guitars. We started redoing some of the new demos with the 5150 and just sounds to damn good.

As for KMDFM, I didn't realize that. Very cool. The guitar tone on the new KMFDM record I thought sounds really good, at least good for a KMFDM record. I'm sure the 5150 smokes it though.

PS: Just checked out the Gary Numan record "Jagged"... amazing.

Thanks, man! As much as I may bitch about it, it is pretty damn fun. Charlie and the rest of the band have become some of my best friends.
And it very well could be the JP7 you have now. Either that or the Egyptian Smoke one.
The 5150 smokes the holy living crap out of the KMFDM tone. Even when I first showed up with the Line 6 Vetta combo they were telling me that my tone kicked all kinds of ass. The Vetta head and cabinet... even more. Then I showed up with the 5150. The first night I practiced with the 5150, our drummer(who is quite the guitarist and a tube snob) had to stop the set so we could record it. He was floored by the fact that I was only running the gain on 3 1/2 with the volume on 2 1/2.
And I'm sure I'll post some clips of the new stuff once it's completed. It's a little more raw and heavy.
