That's well known, isn't it? In french, it's called "andropause". Seems like thre's no other words for it in english than "male menopause".

yeah, there's a big thing now with guys who are trying to get testosterone replacement therapy as they age. not surprisingly a lot of these guys are bodybuilders... but test levels really do affect mood quite a bit.
