New-Whey Protein "Shots"
:: Innovative Delivery Systems - Welcome to IDS Sports ::
What do you guys think of these? They're obviously for supplementing meals, but I think it's a good thing. I think they're pretty cool because a. they dont taste like shit, b. they don't take up lots of stomach space, c. for what it is, it's a fair amount of protein. Anyways what's your take/ideas on it? (btw, if you're looking to buy, dont buy it from IDS) "The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will." -Vince Lombardi |

This Chocolate/Chocolate one almost tastes like a Tootsie Roll. The thing about the shots is it's just water, protein, and a stabilizer so it doesn't go bad under the heat. No fluff like all the powders, bars etc. ![]() |

Hmm...i wonder what kind of uptake you can really expect with such a dense serving of protein. I cant imagine the amino acid profile of that is all that stellar. I stick with Casein before workouts(I realize most people think that whey is better pre-workout, but casein is now being found to be just as good if not better), Pro Complex immediately after, and another shake of casein at night. Muscle milk is the best casein protein I've found.
I think id stick with more proven sources of protein.... |
