Golf Lessons

So I began to seriously take an interest in this sport, since I have admired the art of precission and intelligent golf playing for awhile. Not that I would ever come close in precission playing, but I do admire the pro's greatly in what they can do on the greens and simply be in awh by their talent.

I had received a starter golf set last Christmas and thought it would be wise to take several lessons, or shall I say, a shit load of lessons. Needles to say, it's not that easy. My "grip' needs improving. I would like the ball to have a 'back spin' or to at least create that effect... that I see the pro's like Woods, Weir, Vijay Singh...... but at this stage of the game, I think I am looking at YEARS of practice playing before I can even come close to perfecting the art of a 'back spin'. No 'birdie's' for me, at least, for the next good while... but its fun and good exercise, so I won't give up. I am really starting to enjoy it.

Smacking a bucket full of balls on a Sunday afternoon really kicks out the aggressiveness I have in me.... plus, helps me relax when I return home and practice on guitar.

Yes, I'm a PROG METAL SNOB!

Chris will probably be proposing within the week.

Yeah, golf is a terrifically fun game. I haven't played in years. I can drive the shit out of that little fucking ball, though. Or at least I used to.

I can remember some years ago, my buddy and I went golfing, he talked alot of shit, and when we just started, we were right behind a big group with some cute chicks. They let us go before them, and he says, "Go first." Hoping I'd embarrass myself with some ridiculous slice or sumshit.

Man, I hit that fucker about right down the fairway on a nice little par 4. Nice high loft, probably 250, 260 yards cold. The chicks go "Oooh. "

He glared at me, got up, and whack! Slice into the pond.

Gotta love a sport like that.

I am so happy my gf is into golf. So this summer will be a lot of golfing.

Golf is a tough sport to get good at. My personal best is a 87 and that was a few years ago. I don't play as much as I would like to. I won't be topping that score any time soon LOL.

I heard that only like 15% of all the golfers in the world can legally break 100 and much much less that can break 90 consistently.

I still remember my first game, I was walking along when some guy was teeing off from another hole and screams "HEADS UP!", while I was screaming "YOU'RE MEANT TO SAY 'FORE'!" I took a 120km/h golf ball to the diaphragm

I live in a tiny village where the 18-hole course is a 9-hole course that you walk around twice, and the greens are just dirt mixed oil, as opposed to the vanilla dirt of the fairways. I play every other day, I'm not great and rarely even make it to the 9th, but I enjo it and it's good thinking time.
