Now they're talking about; not just placing the new catheter, but actually starting the stem cell harvest today.

Good luck with the stem cell transplant! My mom is doing great... she's feeling the side-effects from the high-dose chemo they gave her after the harvest of the stem cells (really bad mucositis, mainly) but the stem cells have taken up their new home in her bone marrow and her blood levels are bouncing back nicely. They're talking about releasing her on Friday (pretty much right on schedule... 3 weeks in the hospital).

Stem cell transplantation is really cutting edge for these kinds of cancers... i hope it goes as well for you! Hang in there!

Just got back from the ER, the catheter started to bleed. Call my doctor and he said go to the ER. So I've got an additional stitch and some new pain pills.
