Christmass eve dinner (56k=TV dinner)

So, last night the roommates and I decide to make a good dinner for Christmass.

So here we go!

Cooking with the Homeboys! Episode 1.

Chef Hadley and chef Cadenhead get a list down for a quick trip to the market.

And we come back with the spoils

And then some.

The meat. A nice cut of London Broil with small incisions in it stuffed with garlic.

Then browned on both sides in a frying pan.

Here's Hadley chopping up some veg.

And one of the few times you will see me wearing a hat.

So the meat is done browning.

Now we add some water, the secret ingredient, and some of the veg.

We set the oven on bake and put the meat in

Now it's time for the sauce.

Here we have some garlic, mushrooms, onion (white and green) and a little oil and butter in the pan we browned the meat in.

While we let everything cook, time for a break.

The meat is almost done. Time to add the last ingredient to the sauce, cabbage.

Here we are all finished and plated along with some rice and steamed asparagus with butter.

There you have it folks!

That He'Brew beer was actually really good. I'm not sure if you can read the label, but it's a "double pail ale with rye malt". Very tasty. and it's an R.I.P.A.

The local market (Top Foods) has a great selection of odd beers like that. I'll have to take some pics next time I'm there.

As for the steak, you'll just have to come over to the house of awesome to eat this good.
