and my White Blood Count has fallen from 3.8 down to 0.92. So starting today I have to wear a mask, so the germ-riddled masses won't give me an infection.

Monday I have to go to the bank; it'll be entertaining to see the security guard's reaction when I walk in wearing my mask.

Dude it'll end up going something along the lines of 'Heat'...but I suppose just as long as you're not holding an AK you'll be fine lol.

I've always wondered how those masks things work to stop microscopic bacteria and viruses from getting into your system yet still allow you to breathe.

I became neutropenic at one point too. Had to do the exact same thing. The, for lack of a better term, funniest thing about wearing that mask in public is when you go to the store and buy something with a credit card, and they ask to see your ID. Think about it.

It delayed my treatment by a week at one point, so much so that they had to give me a shot of Neulasta which helps stimulate the bone marrow to produce WBCs.

I had to go back because of servere pain in my legs from my hips down. The doctor said that they're giving me Neulasta 2 times a day every day, and a side-effect is light to moderate bone and muscle pain. Because I can barely walk they gave me a walker and a wheelchair.
Other than that there is nothing they can do.

Hrm, maybe it helps stop you from inhaling the "spray" when someone sneezes/coughs? Or helps stop from inhaling dust?

??? 2x a day? Yeah, you'd get that bone aching. It's because it's making the bone marrow shift into overdrive. But 2x a day?? Jesus man. I got it once, and a week later I was fine for treatment. That shit is EXPENSIVE too man! Hope insurance covers it, cuz that's like $500 a shot??

When you sneeze, you vaporize saliva in your mouth and mucus in your nose. That spray is what you're trying to protect yourself from. Airborne contaminants.
