About improvisation and BT
Hi!
Well, i'm trying to be a little more musical, you know, stopping practicing 16th at 200 bpm ( ) and I need a little help. What backing tracks should I use first? With one chord? And what kind of progression should I use for learning to play over the changes? any standart suggested? I'm in need of backing tracks for improvising, so if anyone has some I would be happy. Thanks a lot! |

There was a few backing tracks posted in this thread: http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/music-theory-lessons-and-techniques/24625-improv-jam-tracks-please.html
The ones on the guitar fight club myspace are pretty good. |

Try starting with one or two chord backings, with lots of time staying on one chord before going to the other. Then try adding more chords, etc.

If you're trying to do blues or rock improvisation, you could start off by playing (listening to) a simple song like Rock n Roll by Zepplin or Paranoid by Sabbath, then just turning down the volume a bit and soloing over the entire song just to build up some chops and try out some licks.
Or if you have the time and space to dl backing tracks check this out: http://www.guitarbt.com/index.php?page=dl_list Magnum Opus Datura Salvia Shine On You Crazy Diamond |
