Recommend me a Classical!

Title says it all, really. I'm planning my next NAGD - a classical (my first). What I'm looking for is nothing fancy, just good tone, good playability and good quality. The guitar doesn't necessarily need to have a pickup system, but I'm taking everything into consideration.
Price range is $400-$500.
Let's hear it, boys and girls!

"Listen closely to me now, my darlin' girl...
There's one who's out to have you, and just his breath will burn your curls..."

Sorry, new here...NAGD?

Try for off brands from famous makers. A lot of times you can find almost new classicals in pawnshops and music store back rooms. The advantage in your favor is that for some reason even many musicians consider these wonderful instruments to be inferior because they use "Plastic" strings.

There's a few 7 strings floating E-bay from Argentinian luthiers in your price range.
If a 6 is enough hunt for sigma or goya brand guitars. (They've got great sound and because no one knows they're from Martin the price is usually in the 1-200 dollar range.)

I'm moving from pop/rock/funk/tap into ERG so I'm sure to have some useful information after you don't need it any more!

NAGD = New Acoustic Guitar Day.

I have the Ibby AEG10NE and am very happy with it. Leon has one of them as well and I'm sure he'll chime in. The only thing I've been meaning to replace on it are the stock tuning pegs, because they pretty much suck.

Ibanez AEG10NE from zZounds.com!

I have a mid level Rodriguez that plays very nicely. As far as I know, Fender subsidized them awhile back, and they have some nice ones right in the $400-500 range. An Alvarez or Aria is a good choice as well. Only buy one with a pickup system if you know you will use, otherwise it is very much worth it to spend that money on one with better projection. Same with the cutaways.

There's no reason to make a toss up when there's no reason not to punch a clown
