yeah it was cool....i think the soloist was Anssi Karttunen and it was conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen, if i remember right. performed by the BSO at Boston Symphony Hall. it was when i was working there as an usher, and i got to stand inside the hall for that performance. about a week before that, there was another world premiere...Charles Wuorinen's Eighth Symphony (“Theologoumena”)...didn't get to hear that one from inside the hall, though, just in the corridors outside the doors. some interesting responses from that, i remember a woman bitching to me about it being too modern
