It's amazing how contemporary his playing sounds, even today. John Wheatcroft made a good observation in an article in Guitar Techniques; 'music doesn't get better, it just gets broader'.

So does anybody here have the 10 CD Djangology box set? It's SUPER cheap and I'm just wondering how the sound quality is (yeah I know read the amazon reviews, but I actually trust the opinions of people on here

On the 'my favourite albums' part of Mathias Ekhlund's website he has that collection. Apparently the sound quality's really good. I haven't heard it myself, but if it's a good price it'd probably be worth picking up...(DR starts looking up how much cash he has to spare)

Cool, going to pick it up. There are actually two releases with that title, one was 2 cds that's been re-released as one, and the one I was referencing, which is actually a crazy 10 cd set for $16.99 or somewhere in that ball park.
