Kaki King // New Record

For those of you who dont already know this- Kaki King is my all time #1 favorite artist above and beyond any metal band out there.

She released her new album "Dreaming of Revenge on March 11th, (same day as I released my debut hahaha). It's is fucking out of this world. She's still doing the "post-rock/alternative" that was introduced on her 3rd album, "...Until We Felt Red". However there's still a lot of great fingerstyle songs like "I Need A Girl Who Knows A Map"

A great deal of this record is about her relationship with ex-girlfriend Kelli Rudick, who is also a fingerstyle, tapping/percussive guitarist, (check her out, she's incredible too.. myspace.com/kellirudick). Kelli's also recording her new album titled, "Stitches." Check Kaki and Kelli out on youtube =)

I worship Kaki everyday but I didn't really like the new album, too many bland pop song. Maybe I need time for it to grow on me

Props for this. I checked it out and this shit is pretty fucking rad. I'm into this kinda of tapping shit. Makes me want and acoustic.

Kaki's always an inspiration, and I've gotten to see her just play for the hell of it in a living room in Brooklyn, duetting with Kelli, back when both lived next door to some former bandmates of mine... took me a good week to pick my jaw up from the floor again...
