i just play with my fingernails.
i always liked the tone of fingernails on a classical, as opposed to fingers without the nails or a pick.

When playing fingerstyle on nylon strings I mainly use the nail of the thumb, which I keep really long, and a combination of flesh and nails for the other fingers (I like the tone, and it makes hybrid picking and tapping easier on other instruments than if the nails were all really long.)

No pick ever gets near my classical, that's what my right hand has long fingernails for.

I'd rather do it with my fingers but you can pluck multiple strings with a pick.

sometimes when i'm playing some blues on my electric, i'll go fingerstyle. you can dig a lot of attitude out of a note that's been snapped.

i have a nylon string acoustic, which i do some fingerstyle stuff on, but i don't really do the classical thing.
