Trader Rating System
We have installed a trader rating system so that you can leave feedback and comments on transactions with members here.
If you buy/sell/trade anything with a member, please leave feedback!

Trader ratings will only show under your name in the Marketplace Forum.

This system can help avoid bad transactions, as well as steer you in the right direction if you're looking for members do to business with that have proven trustworthy. If you've made a deal before this system went into place, please go back and fill out a rating for that user. If you can't find the original thread for any reason, just link to this post. To leave a rating for someone, simply click the Itrader (#) under their name. Note that trader ratings only show up in the marketplace forums.

Additionally, please follow these guidelines when using the Marketplace:

Selling

• Include your Location (City, State - Country).
• Leave viable contact information.
• You must include a PRICE/COST (even if its negotiable).
• Include an accurate description of your item.
• Pictures work best. The More the Better.
• Post SOLD when the item(s) are gone.
• LEAVE FEEDBACK when you've been paid.
• If you have pictures, POST THEM. Attach them to the thread. It's not hard. "Email me for pictures" is pointless when it takes only seconds to attach pictures to the post itself.

If you are a newer member, it is recommended that you post a link to your eBay profile if applicable, or a link to another forum/etc where people can vouch for you. We do not recommend blindly sending money to people who register here and have only a handful of posts to sell their item. This is only to protect the memberbase, it is the internet after all. If you have only one post and it is an auction, the listing will be removed.

Buying

• Leave Your location.
• Leave Appropriate Contact Information.
• Note arrival of item once you recieive it in the item's thread.
• State what you are looking for with some degree of detail. If you aren't sure what you're looking for just yet, post up in the general discussion forums for help narrowing your search before posting in the Marketplace.
• LEAVE FEEDBACK when you've recieved your items.

All Transactions
Please try and preface your thread titles with what you're looking to do. For example [WTS] Ibanez RG7620.

• FS = For Sale
• FT = For Trade
• FS/FT = For Sale or Trade
• WTB = Wanted To Buy
• WTT = Wanted To Trade

This is not for mass vendor eBay sales. If you are a vendor and would like to advertise your merchandise here, we can accomodate you but please PM me first beforehand and we'll work something out.

For Your Protection:

If you send someone money, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure that the vendor is reputable, and that you have proof of payment. I can't make this clear enough. The best way to protect yourself here is to do your homework and check out the vendor BEFORE you send your money off.It is your responsibility to do check the vendor and determine for yourself if it appears to be an honest deal.

Of note: If you paypal someone (say me, for example) for a product listed, and you do not have a VALID website/auction/transaction record, you are NOT eligible for a refund. EG: If you paypal me $1500 for a UV777PBK, a post on here and/or an email is NOT grounds enough by Paypal's guidelines to cover you. Be aware of this.

Though it sucks when things don't go well, remember that it's not up to the Admins/Mods to see that things get corrected when they go awry. I've personally recieved pages and pages of PM's from members asking me to help locate scammers, bad vendors and otherwise. The bottom line here is that this is a public forum, moderated lightly by people who have time commitments of their own. It's up to you to take measures to protect yourself.

If you have a problem with a transaction please PM myself of any of the moderation team and if possible we will try to help, but understand that we take no responsibility for any transactions here.

Because it's the Internet: Abuse of the rating system in any way will lead to account suspensions.

Sevenstring.org forum members are allowed to post links to THEIR OWN Ebay auctions in the classifieds section.

However, if you are not the seller of said item, DO NOT post Ebay links here. Remember folks, this is not a forum for general discussion. This is a classifieds section designed to SELL YOUR OWN STUFF!

If you want to discuss a guitar that's currently on Ebay, post it in the appropriate guitar forums.

If you are not posting questions related to the sale of the item in question, please do not fill up the thread with garbage posts. There are plenty of other forums to make witty remarks in, the FS/T forums are for people looking to deal gear. Thanks.
