Hi everyone. I was referred to this site by a member of another forum (JemSite). I like this site!

Unfortunately, I have very bad news. I'm desparately looking for my favorite guitar which was stolen on Christmas. Here's the details...

Serial Number (located on back of headstock): 44072



The Ibanez RG8670 is a J-Custom guitar, handmade in Ibanez Japan custom shop. I worked hard to earn the money to buy it. Cost at time of purchase: About $1700. Currently, the RG8670 it is out of production and collectible. Mine is in excellent condition.

The current value of this guitar is $2400-$2800.

* 19" Samsung LCD monitor
* Tony Hawk Birdhouse skateboard
* $1000 in CD's, including Megadeth, Pantera, G'n R, Mr. Big. Mostly rock and metal, but some classical music. At least 200 CDs with no jewel cases (they were in ziploc bags), some CD's are japanese.
* Car opener/alarm remote
* Phone charger

Total loss: about $4300, but the guitar is irreplaceable. This model of guitar is hand-made, so there are minute differences between each one. I was lucky enough to get two of these rare guitars, and the one that was stolen has better Harmonics and better craftmanship. It is just incredible. The best guitar I have ever played. Maybe it's the wood grains or something, but that guitar in particular is exceptional, even for J-Customs. I loved it and babied of it. It is a huge loss for me.

Sorry to hear, bro, that's shitty, especially on christmas.

We don't have too many 6-stringers around here, so I don't know how much the site will be able to help, but I guess we can all keep our eyes open in case we stumble across it in a pawn shop or something - every little bit helps, I guess.

Also, maybe contact via PM? I'm not sure leaving a phone number out on the internet is really a great idea, and an e-mail is only marginally better - maybe one of those "yourname at yourhost dot com" breakdowns or something, but I'd think directly after a theft you'd be leary of giving out personal info on the net.

It's not fear but rather sheer annoyance - I mean, you don't not provide direct e-mail links on the net because you're afraid someone might e-mail you, you don't do so so you don't get penile enlargement ads sent to you.

Do you have any pictures of the actual guitar? They might be useful...
