WTB: Carvin DC727 (maybe 747)

Yep, with the cancelled Thorn order and my GAS for grabbing a 7 again rising I'd like to grab another Carvin 7. I'm going to be a little picky on specs and condition so if it's not something I like spec-wise/condition-wise don't be offended if I'm not looking to pay big bucks for it!

I'm pretty much looking to stay within a $5-700 range for this one. Anyone have one they are selling? Also, please none routed for EMGs, this baby will be receiving a pickup swap for passives so I don't want to deal with a chipped up guitar.

Also, if anyone is interested I might be willing to trade my minty 2007 Carvin DC-127M straight across towards a Carvin 7 model if anyone wanted to go that route.

Look on ebay, theres a sick one up, mislabeled as a DC127. Might be more than you'd want to spend tho.

Yessir, that one and the other one with the Floyd were duly noted!

I'm trying to keep it on a budget for now (obviously my Thorns get the majority of my playing time hehe...). Still tempted... although at that point for like $300 more I could buy a brand new one with the specs I really want.... *sigh* Thanks for the help though Nick!

Two days later and no responses.... c'mon, you guys don't want to rush out and give me your Carvin so you can buy... uh... I dunno... an Ibanez or something?

Still looking, hopefully I can find something I dig or else I'll just end up buying new. With the poor resale value I'd almost rather buy used though so I don't have to absorb that hit on resale if I don't dig it in a few months.

Recently, and I mean very recently the prices for used carvin 747/727's seems to have increased by about 50%. I've seen several for 1k or slightly less and there is more demand for them so look fast, I don't think they'll be cheap any longer. I lucked out, got mine for about 450.00 two months ago

I've noticed that too, and it's absolute crap.

I think someone told all of them I was looking for one and now the market has gone up... my pockets aren't THAT deep guys!

I've seen them NOT sell for $550 before, bring THOSE days back!

I should have bought more of them a few years back when I wanted to get back into 7's but didn't.

Oh well, still looking in this price range because I'm not trying to spend $1K on them.

the prices of new ones have gone up a bit as well.
the last carvin i bought was $1200 new, and i spec'd out the same one the other day and it was ~$1500.

Yes, it's been talked about in a couple other threads. Please no more posting in this one unless you're selling one, I keep getting excited seeing a post in it and then finding out no one is actually looking to sell something.
