I have a few that are bl/cr and a host of other colors, too. You can get anything you want but they are special order.

Interesting... Assume for the sake of discussion I'm not broke in a month or two - you need a minimum order of, what, 12, to buy a batch? I've been curious to try the Jazz/JB set, and it'd look hot in the CST in creme...

Hey Drew, I am going to follow up with SD anyway. I have had a lot of requests lately and I think I may re-up my dealer situation with them. Zebras are going into two of my RG7CTs as well. One with 59/JB the other one Blaze Custom(best ever)/AN. They should look badass, I agree. They others are just black so it will be a nice contrast. Not too vintage-y either.

Here is the quote from their dealer form for anyone interested: "Available in black, zebra (cream & black), reverse zebra and white as well as the following colors at no extra charge—red, red & black, pink, green, light blue, dark blue & yellow."

See, on their site, they say no color options on 7-string pickups - do they just tell that to customers, and let dealers get away with it?

Either way, give me two months to pay off the computer/DAW interface and a decent mic or two, and I'm all over a JB/Jazz seven string set in cream.

Ok, I followed up and was all set to re-up my dealership so they sent me a new pricelist....

I was shocked to discover "7 STRING PICKUPS ARE NOW ONLY AVALIABLE IN BLACK. NO CUSTOM COLOR ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN AS OF JUNE 30th, 2005"

So after coming to and stumbling around I called and confirmed it. So, Darren, hats off bro, you were technically right. What BS!!!! SD even said that the rarley have more than a handful ready to go out at all and that they were considering dropping them altogether. WTF????

The "black only" thing has been on their site for a couple of years, so i'm assuming that was the company line on the "production" 7-string pickups, but if you went to the Custom Shop, maybe other options were available.

It would be a shame if they discontinued the JB, '59 and Jazz 7-string pickups, because they really are great. Hopefully Schecter including the JB/59 as OEM on some of their newer models will help keep them around a bit longer.
