FS/FT: 1991 Ibanez Universe

This is partial feeler, but if I get a lot of response it will be the real deal.

Like a buddy of mine, I've run into some $$ issues so up for sale (only) is my 1991 UV.

This guitar is not in its org form! the body has been stripped and oiled a rich mahogany color. There are a few scratches here and there, but nothing crazy (mostly picking). There is one part where filler was used (by ibanez) but it's in the back and i seriously forgot it was there till recently. It's kinda big, but doesn't affect the look or sound of the guitar (i think ). it can't be seen from the front at least...

The pickguard is a smoked mirror from Jeannie <-great fit, that has been routed for one EMG in the bridge, which in this case is a 707. You can find pickguards and pickups everywhere and you could sell these for some good $ if you wanted to switch it back to passives.

The Bridge has some wear on it, i'll be honest. But it works fine and i've had no issues with it. Some pimpling and some light corrosion (no deep rust color or anything, but wear the metal has started to wear a bit).

The neck is in great shape though; it had been sanded and tung oiled by Eric @ Ericsguitars and is SERIOUSLY the smoothest neck i've ever played in my life; Negativexero can second that. By the way nick, if you want to chime in to tell people great things go ahead .

I seriously hate to see this go, but it's worth money and i need it. first offer is $825 shipped, in CON US only...will be in a nice tweed hardcase. Make me an offer if need be; i need the cash (but be reasonable). Buyer must pay in full once amount is agreed upon. GUitar will be shipped out after payment is received!

thanks guys!!!!

Edit, here's a pic of the blemish in the back. Again, it's not that bad and the strap covers it up (because the strap is always on...it's a dimarzio locking one).

This is the pic eric took when i bought it from him...hope he doesn't mind lol

and another of the back (again, from eric's page). The back looks the same now, of course, this is just another perspective of the blemish. By the way i have 4 springs in the back and it's set up with 10's.

So wait - it had the pyramid inlays? Or was it the BK green model and the green inlays were replaced? I might know someone interested in this.

it was the one with green dot inlays...they just changed them over to the pearl ones. If you know him, i'll hook him/her up with the same deal. This guitar plays/sounds great!

As long as the buyer goes through, consider this sold via ebay...
