RG550 Desert Yellow OLD SCHOOL Not Reissue

Hey everyone,

I'm posting this for a buddy. He's looking to part with his ancient RG550 in the screaming yellow that we all love. It's the original deal and not one of the reissues. It's got normal wear and tear for a machine of it's age and it plays pretty awesome.

He's totally not sure what the original would go for so I'll throw the price of ..... 800 on the table. I could be blowing it out of proportion, so send me a PM with your offer.

No offense, but that price is about 200% of what it should be. 550's are great guitars, but they're still just 550's, and that one is a beater.

I literally had no idea what they're going for because of the whole reissue thing. If someone wants to offer 350 or 500 they're more than welcome though. I just put the price up to have a price.

If you do a search on eBay for that item and check the "completed items" option, you'll get a sense of what these have been selling for. They seem to go for $350 to $450 depending on condition, case, shipping, etc. An absolutely mint example might get up into the $500+ range. But it's not like these are collector's items.

Ah. I actually just did the completed items thing and saw a few of em. Ah well.

He was thinking about getting rid of it because he's got about 18 other guitars and this one hasn't seen use in about 5 years.

Just close this one mods/admins. I'd do it but i can't.
