![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | FS or FT Ibanez Prestige RGA121 w/ Sperzels and Bare Knuckle pickups Hey guys, I know I'm a noob here still but if needed I can provide many references from TGP (TheGearPage.net), the Thorn Forum and the MTS Forum (Egnater and Randall Modular Tube Series forum). I've also dealt with one of the moderators on here several times, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind vouching for me too. My eBay user ID is banana3683 (yes, I share an account with my girlfriend.... hence the dumb name lol) and I have over 200 positives and no negatives, most of which is guitar equipment that I've sold and bought. Now, on to what I'm selling! I have an Ibanez Prestige RGA121 that has been totally upgraded. The tuners have been replaced with satin black Sperzel Locking Tuners. The pickups have been replaced with a set of Bare Knuckle Miracle Man pickups (these were $330 for the set, but definately well worth it!!!). I don't know what the guy at Bare Knuckle does when he winds this set but they are the best non-active pickups I've found for high-gain applications, almost like a non-active set of EMG 81's but without being as sterile as EMGs can be sometimes, especially on clean stuff! The electronics were replaced with an RS Guitarworks kit that involved new pots and the oh-so-sweet Hovland capacitor. Sounds like a totally different guitar now in a very good way! I also installed a set of DiMarzio clip-lok straplocks. I really love this guitar but I've found that the Ibanez carve on the prestige necks is too thin for my tastes as I've gotten used to the PRS wide/fat and regular carves as of late. Plays super-fast, so for those guys looking for a great playing Ibby prestige 6 string, here you go! The guitar was $900 (it is the violin flat finish btw) new, plus the pickups, tuners and electronics added another $450 to the guitar total. It also comes with a VERY nice Prestige hardshell case that is custom-fitted for the guitar.I'm looking for $750 shipped in the Continental 48 United States on this one. The upgrades alone cost half of that, so it's like you're paying $300 for a Prestige! Not a bad deal IMHO! I'm located in the Philadelphia area so anyone in the Philly or NJ area that is interested in buying it and a local pickup, feel free to let me know! You can contact me via email @ matt DOT fgarcia AT gmail DOT com (stupid spam bots....). I don't have any pictures right now as I'm at work but I can grab some when I get home tonight for anyone interested! To see the model I'm selling check out: http://www.music123.com/Ibanez-RGA12...-i250359.music , mine is the one in Violin Flat that they have displayed. Thanks guys, any questions feel free to email me or PM me on here! Help me afford a 7 string, I have way too many guitars right now so I'm trying to thin the herd and make room (and get money together) for a 7 string in my collection again! Also, for anyone looking to trade, I'm looking to buy a 7 string soon so if you have a nice Carvin or the Stephen Carpenter SC-607B (I think that's the right model, it's the 7 string baritone model) that you're looking to trade for a nice 6 string let me know! Thanks guys!!! -Matt Do most of the guys on here play 7's only or do some of you play 6-strings as well? I'm probably going to hit eBay with this one soon as I'd like to try and pick up a 7 soon! Again, anyone looking to trade or sell an LTD SC-607B feel free to make me an offer! ![]() Last edited by HighGain510; 12-01-2006 at 08:46 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

With Bareknuckles, it must slay. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Drew, thanks for the input bro! Yeah, it plays so smooth due to the Prestige neck and it sounds BRUTAL because of the Miracle Man pickups! Wish I could keep it but I'm selling it because I have a custom guitar on the way and I can't seem to get as comfortable with the thinner necks as I used to be. Guess I've grown too fond of the PRS W/F and Regular carves! This guitar is kickass, I'm just hoping it goes to a good home where someone can give it the attention it needs! ![]() |

It's a really nice guitar, I just need to get money together quickly as something I'm having built is coming together more quickly than I realized! ![]() |
