Simply - I want one
I know it might be a long-shot, but you never know. A 6 string model - B2 or a reversed B6 if possible (im not sure how many of these are around even). References: eBay and 'Metaljim', 'zimbloth' (through 'sethh') and 'hairychris' (through ebay) here Location: Estonia, Europe (in EU) ps. I'm also open for trade offers - Caparison Dellinger HGS 6-string (BKP Nailbomb in the bridge position) for your Blackmachine Last edited by trig; 11-21-2008 at 08:17 AM. Reason: added a trade possibility |

heh, thanks man, but I'm aware of that one.
If it weren't for the price tag, that would be ideal. I'm not saying that what he is asking is unreasonable, but its obvious that blackmachines are wayy more expensive on that side of the Atlantic. Anyway, I'm hoping to find one here in Europe (no import taxes / cheaper shipping / smaller price tag) |

That guy is completely out to lunch on the price. New they are thousands less even with shipping and duties, and used they should be roughly half as much as he is asking.
Regardless, I made him an offer of $4200 and that wasn't good enough for him ![]() Also, Doug is going to make B6s available with an eight week build time starting early 2009. It might be worth it just to wait for one of those ![]()

no offense but i think the prices are perfect since he is an individual maker trying to make a living. the prices of guitars in us and in europe are very different i'm afraid so people get confused. my gutarmaker has the same going on with his prices, yet over here, his guitars are less expensive then the other luthiers in switzerland..... so i think its a question of ''if you like his designs and you like the makers ideas and crafts, then go for it whaterver he charges, you are buying a dream in some ways, a unique handcrafted instrument and this has a price... blackmachines are gorgeous, i'm very tempted myself to go for a 7 string of his.... Got to save some money

sakeido: B6 with an 8-week build time in 2009 sounds tempting - you might have a rough price quote for that?
8stringlover: thanks for the input anyway, lets not turn this into "blackmachines are expensive in US" thread |

The first batch was 1050gbp so I'd expect them to be somewhat more than that. |

![]() It wasn't an attack on Blackmachine prices dude, it was someone who thought they could gouge because they thought their Blackmachine was the closest anyone would get to owning one in the next 2 years. ![]() |
