SS.org - I'm a newer member here but have been around The Gear Page for a long time buying/selling/trading and mostly just talking about gear I can't afford. If you need any references, let me know, I've done tons of business over the years.

Anyways, you all have lured me over to the darkside and I have Jim Soloway building me a gorgeous LN7 (seven string) as we speak, but to afford it, I've got to let this six string go.

Extended Range Guys: Jim prefers to tune his guitars only as low as C# Standard because he believes they lose some clarity and articulation any lower than that. However, Jim's guitars have mass amounts of articulation to spare and I've tuned it as low as B Standard and got amazing tones out of it; fat, clear and incredibly defined. I think this is a monster baritone - especially with Sapelle sounding like a very detailed mahogany - and I currently have it set up in D Standard for Fusion and Fingerstyle Jazz.

Alright, so Jim is building me a custom 7-string right now, and no matter how hard I try to stretch my funds and keep this beauty, I can't make it work, so she has to go.

She comes with two custom sets of pickups wound by Pete Biltof at Vintage Vibe, both are Humbucker sized P-90s (without the harsh high-end often associated with them).

One set is an airy, lower gain set with a more single coil sound, perfect for fingerstyle and country playing.

The other set was wound specifically for me, with more low-mids and higher gain, specifically for jazz, fusion and dirty blues. They sound amazing clean as well but have a great thick growl.

Here is the original page and specs of this guitar, which was one of the last production exotic models Jim was going to do!
