Jim Soloway is a jewel in the rough
FS Swan LN7 (7-string) W/Bubinga top & blade pickups

Now that I'm finished with the Philadelphia Guitar Show and I've got my remaining guitars back, it's time to find a home for this beauty.

It's one of the most interesting 7-strings we've made with a 1-piece bubinga top and a pair of custom wound P90-style single coil blade pickups. It's also the first 7-string that we've built in the last couple years that wasn't pre-sold (there are three more coming soon as well).

The price is $3150.

Features:

* 1-piece Bubinga top
* Light weight swamp ash back
* Three piece Maple Neck
* Nitro lacquer finish with a clear top and vintage tint back
* Satin nitro finish on the neck
* Three ply binding on body (Tortoise with black/white purfling)
* Gold hardware
* Cocobolo fingerboard with side markers only
* Ebony pickups rings
* Custom wound Vintage Vibe blade pickups
* 3 way LP style pickup switch
* Black pearl truss rod cover with inlaid swan

Here are links to two short recordings of this guitar

Someone has to buy this one soon or it's going to end up being mine (and my wife definitely won't approve of that).

Thanks.

It will be interesting to see how easily or hard this one is to sell. Despite the obvious passion around here, the 7-string market has become a lot smaller than it once was and high end 7's can be realy tough to move. For almost two years, the only 7-strings we built were for special orders, but as a 7-string player, I wanted to experiment with 7's a bit more than custom orders allow. So we started four of them, this being the first. The second is for me and should be done in about 10 days. The other two are cut but we're not going to finish the third and forth until this one is sold.

BTW, I have a very special offer for Canadian customers.

It's very simple. I ship the guitar from British Columbia. I leave it to your over-taxed Canadian mind to figure out the benefits of this arrangement.

Well if it doesn't sell there may be another way. I've always had this idea, but never really pushed it. You can have a lottery like thingy, where you would sell , say 50.00 tickets and you would obviously need to sell 62 or so tickets. Then for 50.00 I, like many others have a chance (a one in 62 chance I might add) at winning a 3100.00 Geetar, one with a swan on it to boot. You have your money and everyone (well cept for the 61 or so, losers) goes home happy! Somebody honest and partial can do the draw, Chris maybe...on second thought!

Dude I would run to the hills with that thing, gleefully cackling like some sort of mental ward escapee-minstrel the whole way.
