i had a computer, 2 velocity 300's and a dozen guitars shipped to me from the u.s. in the last year. nothing came to 2-300 for shipping. power amps=over 40lbs...
the only time i have seen shipping that high is when i sold my bradshaw rig. that was a little over a hundred bucks. but it WAS GOING TO GERMANY...

Shipping would be about $50
Customs would be about $125 (vote for free trade!)

~~

Yea.. thats from KURT himself, and anyone whos ordered UPS before knows its more than $25.. Sorry Scott, your wrong on this one, or least come back to NS and try ordering something again, maybe Toronto is different. But I doubt it, I'll take my experiance + Kurts email over you guys who are probably just talking out of your asses.

Uh im still considering it, but the only reason is because of the canadian dollar being good, the shipping charges isnt that bad that it might even be somewhat worth it, but whatever, go ahead and be a jackass.

Why? You'll just change your mind again in two weeks and start bitching about Kurt or about Americans for their economy or about how Canada's education system is better or something.

And don't call Shawn a jackass. He did nothing but offer a bit of cheerful banter! He never made an attack on you. Fucking grow up, YOU are the jackass.

Why do so many threads started on another topic turn into "this thread should be about ME!" Nick? Let it go, you were wrong, stop being a douche about it. I've seen you do this to like 3 other threads in the past few weeks, let it go. You did it in my Carvin thread which makes me pissed... people start their OWN threads to discuss their own questions or topics. You come in and try to take over and make it all about you.

Point: Shipping to Canada will NOT be $200-300. He is safe to buy knowing that. Let it go, seriously. No need to post another retarded defensive response, you were wrong (aaaaagain) and leave it at that.

bro, i didn't mean to be offensive. i was legitimately saying that you wouldn't have to worry about the shipping charges when ordering one, because they apparently weren't as great as you thought they were.

sorry for the confusion.

I can vouch that I've had to pay $100+ customs fees and shit before. I wish I could remember what my A-7 Elite and RG7CT were, I just remember the brokerage being pricey. I'm pretty sure it was around $125 for the A-7 Elite, and for some reason I'm pretty sure I paid a little less for the CT, which makes no sense because it's worth about 4 times as much.

For the record, I never ordered anyhing from Rondo while liing in Toronto. I did however order a 6 string Brice bass from them while in NS, and my old guitarist ordered the same bass as a righty while living in NS. All we paid was what wason the rondo checkout. That's the reason there is a surcharge. Carvin does the same thing (as you'll soon see) They just charge us more before it goes out the door, and then we dont have to pay brokerage or custom fees.

Also, whether im in Toronto, NS, or NB. That makes no difference on if I pay customs/brokerage or not. It would only impact the shipping amount. And most US companies, have a flat rate for all of Canada.

I never speak out of my ass. Im speaking from experience. I'm likely to buy a fretless 6 string from rondo soon enough. Probably before you'll be ordering from him, so i'll show you the slip after delivery showing that there are no extra fees.

No doubt. But you didn't order those guitars from Rondo. In general, we pay for customs/brokerage when ordering from the states. But not with Rondo or Carvin (The two companies i've had experience with. Im sure others work this way as well)

Oh, and also, I just snapped this from Rondo's checkout page.

Read carefully.

Edit: Sorry, actually I did order a bass from Rondo while in Toronto. An SX 4 string bass (POS btw) and yeah, no fees on delivery.

POOF!
