ecalcagnino is a jewel in the rough
FS/T: 2 sets of Dimarzio New 7s - used but spiffy!

Both sets of neck and bridge pups are in really nice shape with good lead lengths. They are from two of my RG7CTs and I just pulled them in the last week or so.

I would sell each pair separately for $75.00 shipped or both sets for $140.00 shipped in the US. I would also consider trades of any kind. A kitten, flashlights, DVDs, etc... Really, I don't know what I want but hit me up and maybe I'll go for it.

Thanks!

Thanks!

They are hot as hell, like EVOs but not as bright. They sound nice, not too scooped. Very balanced. They put them in the first bunch of 7620s, too.

Actually, I think they put them in all the 7620s (and of course 7621s). I think the 1077xl might have had them as well (with a Blaze single in the middle) but I could be wrong there...

You're right but they renamed them "DiMarzio Custom 7s" in 2001. Same pup, just a name change to screw us all up. So the XL did "technically" have the same ones.

Really? I thought the "New 7" was the most recent name. Originally they called them "Blazes" which was a misprint and a big problem for any of us who have to explain to those who don't understand that the 7620 never had Blazes, even in the first year.

Not sure about the Blaze mismark thing but yep, they went to "Custom 7" as the name. Same pup. They did away with both as of 2003, I believe, with the return of the 1527 and now they are just the V7-7 and V8-7.
