Just got done with classes for the year and I was bit by the, "Give yourself a gift for having a good year in school" bug. These have really caught my eye and I have been looking for a baritone 7 for a while and I've decided that this guitar is what I need.

I am located in Four Oaks, North Carolina in the US.

They go for a little less than a grand new but I wouldn't mind getting one that was a little on the used side, you know, to knock down the price a bit.

I'm not really for sure what would be reasonable though.

Josh, as someone who owns or has owned most of the Stephen Carpenter models, I -highly- recommend trying to find the maple SC607B. They sound noticeably better than the mahogany ones in my opinion. I could go on and on as to why, but I'll just leave it at that. You can't go wrong with any SC7 model, if I had to pick just one, it would not even be close: the maple baritone.

I'm not selling mine, just trying to help out. I absolutely adore my SC607B.

I was somewhat apprehensive about the mahogany version, especially with the scale length, you know, worrying about overpowering lows and what not.

Right, well the baritone neck would help with that, but the maple one is just so choice. If you lived close by I could let you play on both so you could see.

i've been dying to play a baritone 7, my main guitar is an Ibanez RG1527, and while it is my favorite guitar I have played, there is just something missing in the clarity and definition of the guitar itself.

Yeah, well I can't stress enough how nice the SC607B is, hopefully you'll find one I had an RG1527, not a bad guitar but I ended up returning it, wasn't for me. I have a feeling you'll like the ESP more, the neck is insanely comfortable and fast.
