WTB: Ibanez 7 string w/piezo pickups

Hi,

First post here. Looking for a 7 string with piezo's. Maybe an Ibanez RG 2127X is the model number (Prestige w/ 2 hb's and Edge trem with LR Baggs preamp). I have an RG1820X that I'd trade.

Lots of net references available on HCAF, Rig Talk, The Gear Page, Ebay etc. I go by the same moniker at all those sites.

Just so you know, the model youre most likely to encounter in the USA is the 2027X. Best of luck, I had one of those, wonderful guitars.

Good luck finding an RG2127X. I'm the only person on this board who has one. And I only know of 2-3 others in existance.

The USA model, the RG2027X, is pretty uncommon. But there's more to be had.

I saw that one on Craigslist, really hesitant to buy something off there though especially when they are moving.

Yeah the 2127X is what I am looking for....

Ha ha. No.

And like I said, good luck with that. I took me 2 years of searching to get one from Japan. And since they're not made anymore, you're only going to find one used.

Yeah, I've seen one or two on Ebay but that's about it. I may just take my 7620 and get a piezo system and do some mods. Or just build something...the wheels have been spinning for a month or so!

i dont think you can do that for a 7620
if it were the none tremed one you could add piezo saddles but not with a trem to the best of my knowledge

The 2127X has the trem with piezo. My 1820X has the trem/ piezo's but is a 6 string. Now I am hooked on the 7 and would like to make the switch. For my cover gig the piezo is a must have....

It can be done if you can find the 7 string trems with piezo's in them. But yeah, chances of finding one without the guitar attached is pretty slim.
