I would like to sell or trade the following guitar:

Fender John 5 Telecaster + included in the price a Coffin Case Universal.

Condition: Used (it was my main ax for a while) but in near mint condition, since I treat my guitars with insane care and make sure they're stored / used without any external damage. Purchased new in 2005. Made in Mexico.
The guitar is practically flawless, with the only scratches being the pick ones on the chrome parts. Also a small and basically invisible factory defect on the side of the fretboard, I had to go into microscope mode on my camera to take a picture of it :P The guitar also has a bit of buzz due to the power of the neck pickup, and it can be avoided by turning the switch off when not using it. I contacted Fender about it and they said it was meant to work that way.

Low setup, built to be both a shredding machine thanks to the neck custom fender single coil pickup and for anything milder (jazz/blues/country) with the bridge humbucker. If you want to hear what this guitar sounds like, listen to any of the John 5 records (Vertigo or Songs For Sanity). He uses exclusively that model on all of them.
Included in the price is a black Coffin Case Universal which I used a few times to transport the guitar around. Unfortunately it's not very mint-condition anymore and has quite a few dings on it because of stupid airport handling..

The reason why I'm selling it is simply because I really want to try a 7 stringer and I already have an expensive and vintage guitar that does pretty much all this guitar was doing. I don't really need the Fender anymore and I'm not a big fan of letting instruments rot unused.

My price is 500$ total, which I believe is pretty fair for something that would cost 850 new on musiciansfriend or 650 (w/o case) on Ebay.

The other option is trading the guitar + case package for a good Japanese Ibanez 7421 or 7621 in excellent condition. I'm willing to lose quite a bit on this trade (considering those Ibanez go for around 400 new) simply because, as I mentioned earlier, I'm eager to get hold of a 7 stringer. I'm honestly more interested in the trade than in selling, but ultimately both are fine
